Interview with Zenit, Progressive Metal Band from Italy

Can you tell us about Zenit?

We're a Modern Progressive Metal Act, based in Rome, Italy. Andrea is the singer and  the bass player, Marco and Simone are the guitarists and Gabriele is the drummer. We write together, dream together and play together. We originally started this band as a Power Trio, then Simone joined our ranks and now we're here.

Can you tell us about concept of Zenit upcoming release?

Our new album will be a mix of many different music genres, from djent to classic Prog metal and even some ambient moments and also will include clean and harsh vocals. We love the new material so much that we are sharing on our page some sneak peeks from the Pre-Productions, so be sure to check it out!

What's lyrical themes of Zenit upcoming release?

We don't have standard topics, Andrea writes the lyrics and usually talks about psycological aspects of life and existence in general. In the upcoming album there are a lot of interesting lyrics, one song for example talks about how music affects our lives while another one is a dialogue between a father and is yet-to-be born son. He likes to vary a lot and we love his ideas.

What does the future hold for Zenit upcoming release?

A record label, a tour, a music video, all sort of things that you would expect from a new band that wants to chase a dream. People love what we are doing, we are receiving a huge support from our fans, so we hope they will love our creations as much as we do!

Are there any countries you’re interested in touring or performing in? Why?

We would love to play anywhere in the world, we have people asking to go to their country, from Brasil, Germany, Spain, UK, USA, Canada and many more! And of course we are thrilled by the possibility of playing in front of our fans! We love each of them, they are the reason we keep doing this amazing work!

What bands would you like to play alongside?

Periphery, Tesseract, Caligula's horse, Plini, Animals as Leaders and the list goes on. We really love these bands and we hope to share the stage with them in the next future! We have seen them performing so many times and we would love to meet them!
