Interview with Eteritus, Death Metal Band from Poland

Eteritus is Death Metal Band from Toruń, Poland. They’re Nitro - Drums, Zimny - Guitars, Liam Tailor - Vocals, Guitars, and Greg - Bass. Eteritus gave us some information. Check it out.

Tell us about Eteritus?

The band was founded in February 2013, when guitarist Zimny and drummer Nitro met, and after I (vocalist Liam Tailor) joined the band one month later, we started working on new material. One year after that, the EP "Tales of Death" was born and Greg joined the band on bass. Recently Godz of War label released our new full-length CD "Following the Ancient Path". What are lyrical themes of Eteritus?

Some philosophical concepts mixed with mythological themes and personal reflections upon life and death. I suppose nothing straying to far from the classic Death Metal topics.

What are your influences?

All of the Oldskull Death from 80's and 90's - mostly European, but some people also hear American influences.

How did you choose the cover artwork for "Following the Ancient Path"?

Our publisher sent us the picture which You can see on the front - created by artist Bartek Kurzok. We thought it was awesome so we went with it.

How were the songs written?

The songs are written by Zimny and Greg and Nitro and I do the lyrics. We then sometimes modify bits and riffs at the rehearsals until everyone is satisfied.

How did the recording process go?

Very quick and smooth. I think it was just few hours per instrument. We've already rehearsed all of the songs many times before we went to the studio, and played all of them at gigs, so the whole recording process was rather painless.

What are your future plans?

To record another full album and to continue making more awesome songs. We're already well on our way with rehearsing many new tracks, so be on the lookout. Can't really say much more then that, since it's hard to make any plans in the music business.

Are there any countries you’re interested in touring or performing in? Why?

We'd be happy to go anywhere. The world is a big place, and it's many cultures are very interesting. It's always nice to learn something new and meet new people. Personally I'd probably want to visit Scandinavia, since it's the birthplace of many metal genres and of the most of our favourite bands.

What bands would you like to play alongside?

Probably bands like Vader, Decapitated and Lux Occulta, since they're the biggest on our own playground.
