Introduce us to DelDesierto?

Del Desierto is a Traditional and Folk Metal Band from San Luis Potosí, México. The band began with the name "Desert Calls", with a strong influence from oriental and middle eastern folk metal. That was our first approach to folk metal with covers, but then we began to seek our own style.

What are lyrical themes of DelDesierto?

In lyrics, there is no a specific theme that we write about, is much about life, and the issues we get everyday in our world.

What are your influences?

Our main influences are the bands that we begin this project for: Myrath and Orphaned Land.

Can you tell us about Metal Scene in Your Town?

In our Town, the metal scene is full of talent, but with a lack of support, is very hard sometimes to even have a decent record, and talking about traveling and shows, most of the time, bands pay their own costs, and when is time to bring big bands for metal festivals, there are just a few local bands, sometimes none of them.

Who are Your Favorite Mexican Metal Band?

We are very spread in this particular subject, but one of the bands we enjoy so much is CEMICAN, a Prehispanic Death Metal band.

How do you think your music will progress in the future?

We work very hard for this to happen, every day, and every rehearsal, we put it all we have to improve our sound as much as possible.

Are there any countries you’re interested in touring or performing in? Why?

Countries? All we can travel is just a dream for us !!! any place is great for sharing our music. There are a lot of huge festivals in all over the world, so there is not any country in particular.

What bands would you like to play alongside?

Well the bands mentioned before Myrath and Orphaned Land, that would be the perfect day for us.

Any last words?

We are very excited to see the people's reaction to our music, all the support, just to know that or music is listened in other countries is just amazing, we are thankful to all the support in media and fans who have helped us to reach more people around the world. Thank you again !!!
